Cool Science Competition Honorees
During the Fall of 2025, the 14th annual Cool Science Art Competition received 211 entries from 224 K-12 students answering the following challenge questions:
What can we learn from nature about adapting to a changing climate?
How are Massachusetts and its cities and towns preparing for climate change?
How can we lower temperatures in urban heat islands?
After a careful and thorough evaluation process, the Cool Science team selected 12 entries that will be displayed this spring on buses in Lowell, MA to educate commuters and the public about climate science.
Cool Science is proud to present the honorees for 2025-2026. Thanks to all the teachers, mentors, and parents who helped students learn about climate science and express their ideas through art. We hope you enjoy the artwork!
