Cool Science holds a free and public art competition for K-12 artists annually to challenge youth to express their learning about science concepts through the visual arts!
Extreme weather events such as hurricanes, tornadoes, and polar vortexes disrupt nature, society, and individual lives. Though many of us have experienced extreme weather, most of us lack the necessary scientific understanding to fully prepare for, adapt to, and bounce back from these types of events.
Understanding the science of extreme weather is important to adults and kids alike.
We have partnerships with informal education programs, volunteers, and regional transit authorities in Kansas, Missouri, and Massachusetts.
Mentoring students, applying for mini-grants, attending celebrations, and submitting art to future contest are some of the ways you can get involved in Cool Science.
